Principal’s Message

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I hope you all had a restful, rejuvenating summer and are as eager as I am to begin this incredible new chapter! 

This milestone year is particularly special for me, as I have just wrapped up my fifth year as your proud principal. Looking back on where we started and seeing where we are today fills me with immense gratitude. It is an absolute honor to lead a community where we truly have the best and brightest students, alongside the hardest working teachers and staff in education. 

Last year was nothing short of historic for our Falcons, and our collective hard work paid off in major ways. Here are just a few reasons we are celebrating: 

• Academic Excellence: Our students showed incredible growth across all content areas, proving that their dedication in the classroom is unmatched.
• Champions on the Court: Huge congratulations to our basketball team for bringing home the championship trophy! 
• Award-Winning Harmonies: Our talented Show Choir took center stage and brought home well-deserved awards for their spectacular performances. We remain the ONLY middle school in the division that provides this opportunity for our students. 
• Cutting-Edge Innovation: We officially opened our brand-new Outdoor Learning Space and launched the state-of-the-art STEM in Sports Lab, giving our students hands-on, modern ways to learn and explore. 
• Showing Up for Success: Thanks to a dedicated effort by our families and staff, we successfully reduced chronic absenteeism. Every day counts, and your commitment to being here mattered. 
• District-Wide Impact: Our signature BUG (Backyard Urban Gardening) class was such a massive success that it has now been expanded across all HCPS schools! We are incredibly proud to see our vision benefiting students district-wide. 

As we enter the new year, we are thrilled to welcome a new Associate Principal (ASP) to our administrative team. Mrs. Karyn Jackson is joining us and will be partnering with Mr. Dublin to support our amazing 7th-grade students. Please join me in giving Mrs. Jackson a warm Falcon welcome!

This year, we want our students to approach every day with intentionality, resilience, and pride. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the arts, we are challenging every Falcon to rise to the occasion and ace every single opportunity that comes their way.
